Khartsyzy are space pirates, or anyone who does not submit to the Space Sich. Their ranks can be very mixed: deserters, retired Cossacks, bandits. They usually gather in raiding bands of several thousand and strike trade routes between systems, or wait for victims at the entry and exit points of warp.
Sometimes they occupy asteroids or moons with very small populations and begin conducting their own policy independent of the Hetmanate Federation.
Sometimes agreements with Khartsyzy are possible and they recognize the authority of the Space Sich. In that case, they are required only to supply food and recruits for the Hetmanate’s forces. If Khartsyzy raid colonies of the Hetmanate Federation, Serdiuk forces enter the system to destroy their military and space bases. After the main Khartsyzy combat units are annihilated, they are halved.
